i now have a street-level doorbell for my flat!

i bought a wireless doorbell but the signal wasn’t strong enough to get to the bottom of the stairs. so i bought a regular doorbell button and wired it into the wireless doorbell button/transmitter and weaved the cable up the stairs. i still need to replace the duct tape with cable ties to neaten it up a bit but i’ll have to wait until tomorrow now.

no more missed deliveries when i’m at home now!

it’s ridiculous not having some kind of doorbell or intercom for these flats anyway.

sometimes i think i should talk to my parents more.

like i text them earlier to give them my phone number (now i finally have a landline phone) and since we last spoke i’ve got internet in my flat (3 weeks ago) and my mum’s written my dad’s car off. and that was like 2 texts worth of chat.

but i’m seeing them in 2 weeks so i can probably wait until then to talk to them.

So many people don’t seem to understand that social anxiety can manifest itself in multiple ways. Some people will just dismiss that you have social anxiety if you don’t fit into what they perceive it to be, and that lack of understanding can be really hurtful. So thank you for this.

(And as my personal comment, I fit into behavioural and cognitive.)
